  1. I really think they’re trying to dispel myths, lies and presumptions going about by all the nervous Nellies in the major networks and the Opposition in the HOC. The prospect of a “Fox News North” must be very threatening to their very survival judging by all their howling.

  2. Looks like the lefty’s are inserting their very own in the supposed righty TV station.
Along with the great Kinsella we are starting to see a familiar pattern here.
And you guys scoffed at Kory!
    How quickly things change.
    E Mac.

  3. Yup, that was the charge and she did get shifted out of town for a spell.

Probably “an innocent mistake” on both her’s and Pablo’s part.

Poor Pablo has been charged with a DUI offense, he’s lucky he’s a Liberal otherwise he’d have to step out of his HOC seat while his case is dealt with. A Conservative in the same spot would be hollered at incessantly and have to step aside.

  4. The Liberalvision we are forced to watch now, is boring, with one-sided moderators.
    Why would SunTV reproduce that!

Who would Levant and Kory debate with if both sides are not represented?

    Bring on balance and debate.

  5. We shouldn’t be worried. C/conservatives worth their salt can out debate these leftist journalists. Erickson and Kinsella might have to prove themselves on SunTV rather than just show up at the CBC.

  6. Exactly, Stephen. Canadian TV has become boring and predictable because of the small group of “commentators” hauled into the studio to “debate” current affairs. They’re pretty much dredged from the left-lib ditch of the political spectrum, and most of them are boring me and most Canadians to death.

I suspect that SunTV will surprise with the new faces and interesting perspectives they’ll bring on board. At least, that’s what I’m expecting.

  7. I totally agree batb!
CBC and CTV’s political programming, IS an echo chamber. They DON’T provide balance, interesting guests and especially, factual reporting. It’s ALL editorializing and reeks of a gossipy trend. I don’t mind discussion and debate but I despise dull and predictable pile-ons that pose as discussion and debate.

The screaming-meemie MP’s (we know who they are) are a joke and rather than respectful and thoughtful issue dissection, we are forced by torture to witness a Parliamentary episode of WWF.
And way more fake punches and bad acting!

  8. Already? They haven’t had one minute of air time yet, and conservatives are already writing them off? Boy, no wonder the right has rarely succeeded at anything in this country.

I’m happy that Sun News has hired Kinsella and now Krista Erickson. The right can’t win the debate while we talk to ourselves. I think a debate program between Kinsella and Ezra Levant will be fantastically entertaining, and deliciously adversarial.

I think you’ll see a big difference in the reporting of folks like Erickson with Sun News, as compared to her time with CBC. Same for the work of Tobias Fisher. I’ve really enjoyed David Akin’s work, as well as Brian Lilley since they jumped to Sun Media. I can’t say I was big fan of Akin while he worked at the G&M.

  9. Echo chambers are seldom interesting.

You do yourself a disservice, sir. Hey, I keep coming back here.

  10. Probably “an innocent mistake” on both her’s and Pablo’s part.

    [head exploding]

I know you folks can whitewash anything if it was done by a rightie, but it’s still entertaining and a little jarring to actually see the buckets and brushes in action.

  11. I cannot for the life of me given Krista’s past association with the Libs know why Sun TV would hire her. I am becoming increasingly concerned that we are just going to see more of the same. If that is the case then I will not be subscribing to Sun TV when it comes on stream.

  13. Luke I guess I will have to wait and see if Sun TV would be prepared to actually fire her or cover it up like they did at the CBC when she fed Rodriquez questions during the Mulroney/Schreiber hearings.

My real issue if you read the Sun TV website they promise new faces. Thus far I see few new faces. It just seems to be a re-shuffling of the existing media types i.e. Akin, Lilley, Adler etc etc. Where are the fresh faces? Where is there any indication on how they will be different. If you look at Akin’s reporting it is the same old, same old. The old saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks is appropriate here.

I want to see something new here and if I am going to be subjected to the same old b.s I will not be subscribing to the new network. There is already enough crap on the TV. I didn’t need more.
